Rockfish Charters runs a 39-foot boat for groups of up to five. Its site says spring and fall striped bass trips, from April 15 to June 30 and again from October 15 to December 1, leave from the Old Mill Yacht Club at 16315 Cross Bay Boulevard in Howard Beach.
The same page says that from July 1 to October 15 the boat is tuna fishing out of Center Moriches, and it names Jamaica Bay among the waters it fishes in the New York Bight. Tackle, bait and filleting are included.
